I learned Pilates through a program and a two year apprenticeship with my teacher. I call that 'the old fashioned way' and the best. I was personally certified in 1990 and have been teaching ever since. The success of my first studio and rise in popularity of Pilates required that I train capable teachers with high standards.
My Certification Program has earned a reputation for producing teachers of the highest quality. Graduate Instructors are far more capable than just studio employees. They either go on to opening their own studios or enjoy success with sold out classes at studios all over the US.
As a program director who still works hands-on with clients, I expand my knowledge base with continuing to further my own education. Every module is a personal growth challenge for me. The modules grow and change as the needs of my teachers demand that I adjust the program help them achieve their specific goals.
The Aline Conditioning Technique Certification distinguishes itself from other programs by focusing on the teacher's physical participation in the work. By doing the work you can comprehend Pilates on a sensory level and develop the ability to cue exercises from experience. This is important now more than ever because the core work of Pilates is being lost by mass certification. The emphasis is being placed on choreography without regard for execution of the work. The concepts are being learned intellectually without being applied to the exercises.
Another distinguishing feature of our certification program is the emphasis on developing variations on the Pilates exercises while staying loyal to the concepts. By teaching this way you can accommodate all body types and fitness levels, with complete commitment to the essence of Pilates. As Pilates training becomes available to the masses, it is imperative that the work be taught by its foundational concepts, then modified to accommodate different ages, health issues and body types on an individual basis.

Most of our graduates begin working immediately. Most have jobs waiting for them before they even complete the program. Some of the best OC studios are just waiting for Aline trainers to graduate and they are swept up immediately into full time schedules.
